The Future Media Talks return for their third edition – featuring inspiring insights, professional exchange, and networking opportunities.
The event aims to connect students, alumni, and media partners who have studied, taught, researched, or worked at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. It creates a bridge between academic study and professional practice – offering valuable guidance and perspectives for emerging creatives.
Program
4:00 PM – Keynote
Margrit Stärk (SI STAR Film Award, Head of Feature Film Acquisition and Co-Productions, ZDF)
Working title: Cinema, TV & Streaming in Transition: New Players, New Content, New Paths to the Audience
The media landscape is undergoing profound transformation: traditional broadcasters are becoming streaming platforms, new competitors are emerging, and shifting viewing habits are changing funding models and audience engagement. Film festivals and awards – such as the SI STAR – are gaining importance, while content itself becomes more flexible, diverse, and audience-oriented.
5:00 PM – Alumni Panels (7-minute sessions)
