PERSONS
The Team
The Institute for Media Design – img forms the interface between research and teaching in the field of audiovisual and interactive media. Free and applied research and third-party funded projects find institutional anchoring within the University of Applied Sciences. Visibility and participation are achieved through transfer to society and the public.
The competence for digital design is represented by the artistic-design professorships in the fields of film/TV, animation, interactive design, Game, augmented and virtual reality and sound.
Our graduates are active in production (ZDF, SWR, ARTE) and in the teaching of other study programs, e.g. Digital Media Management.
Our goals are networking at the Mainz location, within the Mainzer Wissenschaftsallianz and international cooperation with foreign partner universities, e.g. in Mexico City / UNAM, Lisbon / Universidade de Lisboa, Amman / German-Jordanian University, Macao / St.Josephs’s University
